This year, I will be writing and sending Christmas cards. Last year, I didn’t send any. Last December was spent trying to sail ‘Else’ round from North Devon and then make her habitable in time for Christmas. Hooray….. after extensive research, experts have reached the conclusion that the age we are most likely to feel content and fulfilled with our lives is 58. We’re finally home. Eight weeks after leaving Else in Nauerna I was heading back to Holland on the night ferry. I’m back in Suffolk, but I had to leave my home in Holland. Repairs to Else‘s gearbox are under way, but it is not going to be a fast fix – the gearbox has been craned out of the boat and sent away for a rebuild. Before that could happen, we were towed from Haarlem continue reading »
